چکیده
In this paper, the sum-rate maximization problem is studied for wireless networks that use downlink rate splitting multiple access (RSMA). considered model, base station (BS) divides messages can be transmitted to its users into a “private” part and “common” part. Here, common message want receive private dedicated only specific user. The RSMA mechanism enables BS adjust split of so as control interference by decoding treating noise and, thus optimizing data users. To maximize users' sum-rate, network determine allocation meet demand, transmit power reduce interference. This formulated an optimization whose goal all solve nonconvex with single-antenna BS, optimal used transmitting first obtained in closed form given power. Based on power, then derived under fixed Subsequently, iterative algorithm proposed obtain suboptimal solution multiple-antenna successive convex approximation method utilized. Simulation results show achieve up 15.6% 21.5% gains terms compared non-orthogonal (NOMA) orthogonal frequency-division (OFDMA), respectively.

Rate-splitting multiple access for discrete memoryless channels
It is shown that the encoding/decoding problem for any asynchronous -user discrete memoryless multiple-access channel can be reduced to corresponding problems for at most 2 1 single-user discrete memoryless channels. This result, which extends a similar result for Gaussian channels, reduces the seemingly hard task of finding good multiple-access codes to the much better understood task of findi...
متن کاملOptimum Power and Rate Allocation Strategies for Multiple Access Fading Channels
We obtain the (Shannon) optimal power and rate allocation strategies for the uplink on single cell systems. For an N user system, we show that successive decoding which is independent of channel state is optimal in the Shannon sense. Using this result, we frame a simple N dimensional convex optimization problem, which is solved to obtain optimum power and rate allocation as explicit functions o...
متن کاملA Fair Power Allocation for Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access in the Power Domain
This paper presents an investigation on the performance of the Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) in the power domain scheme. A Power Allocation (PA) method is proposed from NOMA throughput expression analysis. This method aims to provide fair opportunities for users to improve their performance. Thus, NOMA users can achieve rates higher than, or equal to, the rates obtained with the convent...
متن کاملA rate-splitting approach to the Gaussian multiple-access channel
It is shown that any point in the capacity region of a Gaussian multiple-access channel is achievable by single-user coding without requiring synchronization among users, provided that each user “splits” data and signal into two parts. Based on this result, a new multiple-access technique called rate-splitting multiple accessing (RSMA) is proposed. RSMA is a code-division multiple-access scheme...
متن کاملOptimal Multiple-access Communication via Distributed Rate Splitting
We consider the basic multiple-access communication problem in a distributed setting for both the additive white Gaussian noise channel and the discrete memoryless channel. We propose a scheme called Distributed Rate Splitting to achieve the optimal rates allowed by information theory in a distributed manner. In this scheme, each real user creates a number of virtual users via a power/rate spli...
